Promotions Highlight Final Seven Home Games

Los Búhos Night opens seven-game homestand
Rice returns home to Reckling Park for the first baseball games at home in more than two weeks as the Owls open a final seven-game homestand by hosting the Charlotte 49ers in a three-game weekend series, followed by Prairie View A&M on May 7 and a final three-game conference series with Wichita State May 9-11.
The Charlotte series opens at 6:30 on Friday night, followed by a 2 p.m. start on Saturday, while Sunday's finale has been moved up to a noon start.
Friday night's opener is Los Búhos Night, and the first 250 fans will receive a limited edition Los Búhos baseball cap while all fans will be treated to special Ballet Folklorico performances and Mariachi Los Peregrinos throughout the game.
Saturday's theme is Baseball & Brews, and fans will receive a replica Rice Baseball jersey koozie. Yuengling, 2 Hoots, and Surfside will be providing free beverages on the hill beyond the leftfield wall at Reckling.
Sunday's finale will find a strong presence of The Force at Reckling as the Owls celebrate May the Fourth Be With You. In keeping with the day's Star Wars theme, a Chewbacca LEGO set will be the prize of a fan raffle, the Reckling Kids Zone will feature a Star Wars inflatable, face painting, and a balloon artist, along with other in-game surprises. Jedi robes and lightsabers are welcome, as fans are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite character from the movie series.
The game with Prairie View A&M on May 7 is the final 713 Night of the year, where fans will be able to enjoy $7 tickets (valid with online ticket purchase only), $1 hot dogs, and $3 beers (Yuengling Flight & Yuengling Lager). First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m.
Rice wraps up the 2025 home schedule on Senior Weekend, and the Owls host Wichita State. The opener on May 9th will feature Baseball Bingo with the chance to win special prizes throughout the night. The final set of 2025 Rice Baseball trading cards presented by Houston Methodist will be given out on Saturday, May 10th. The season concludes on Mother's Day as we salute our senior class and then have them join their mothers to throw out the season's last first pitch.
