Bocachica Named to AAC Honor Roll

Owls close homestand vs. Houston on Tuesday night
Houston- Rice freshman second baseman Hiram Bocachica Jr. has been named to the AAC Baseball Honor Roll after a productive week of games that ended with the Owls taking two of three from South Florida at Reckling Park.
Bocachica compiled a 1.433 OPS and slugged .900 last week, with two homers and six RBI, also scored six runs and had an on-base percentage of .533. He twice matched his career-high for RBI, driving in three vs. Houston on April 8 and South Florida on April 12.
He leads the Owls in runs (23), is tied for the lead in walks (20) and stolen bases (8), and is second in RBI (17), on-base percentage (.399), and tied for second with three home runs. He leads the AAC in assists (93).
Bocachica and the Owls will make their final appearance at Reckling Park until May 5 when they host Houston in the final game of the 2025 Silver Glove Series on Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m.
