Football Golf Event Kicks Off Spring Game Weekend

Rice Football and the R Association get an early start on festivities surrounding the annual Blue-Gray Spring Game with a golf tournament at the Golf Club of Houston on Friday, April 11.
Registration is available now online or can be done in person beginning at 12:30 p.m. on April 11, along with a tailgate and remarks by Dunlevie Family Head Football Coach Scott Abell before the 2 p.m. shotgun start.
"Myself and the Rice Football staff cannot wait to get out on the course with our Owl Family," Abell said. "This is an incredible event for fellowship and friendly competition. I am excited to bring our staff out to share and celebrate how much work our athletes have put in this Winter and Spring. #WE"
The 4-person scramble costs start at $1,100 for a four-person team or $1,000 for Rice Young Alumni, while single registrations are available for $300 ($250 for Rice Young Alumni). Groups of three along with a member of the Owls' coaching staff are available for $350 per person. Registration includes a golf cart, green fees, tee gift, range balls, lunch, and dinner.
