Homecoming Game Set for 1 p.m.

Owls host UAB for 105th edition of Homecoming
Rice's Homecoming meeting with UAB on November 8 will kick off at 1 p.m. with coverage provided on ESPN+. The game time and broadcast affiliate assignments were announced on Monday by the American Conference.
Rice and UAB have met 12 previous times in a series that began in 2005 when the Owls joined Conference USA, but this will be the first time the Blazers have been Rice's opponent on Homecoming. UAB leads the overall series 7-5, but Rice holds a 3-2 lead in games at Rice Stadium.
This will be the 105th Homecoming game for Rice in a tradition that dates back to 1919, when the Owls trounced Arkansas 40-7. The game has been played each fall, except in 1930, when no football game was specifically designated as Homecoming, and in 2020, when it was held virtually due to the pandemic.
Prior to Homecoming, Rice hosts #25 Memphis on Halloween Night at 6 p.m. in front of a national audience on ESPN2.
Single-game tickets for Friday's game with Memphis and all remaining home games on the 2025 schedule are still available. In addition to the option to purchase individual game tickets, Owl fans can take advantage of special pricing by purchasing a mini plan.
