•This is the third meeting between the schools in a series that began at Rice Stadium in 2023.
•UConn has won both previous games, each by seven points, with Rice scoring first in each game.
•Rice took a 10-0 lead in the first quarter in the inaugural game in 2023, but the Huskies scored 20 points in the second quarter and held off the Owls in the second half to win 38-31.
•Last season, Rice opened the scoring on a 23-yard field goal by Tim Horn late in the first quarter, and that lead held until midway in the third before the Huskies took the lead on a 68-yard run by Durell Robinson.
•Down 17-7 with 3:28 left, Rice cut the margin to seven on Quinton Jackson's school-record 100-yard kickoff return.
