
Owls Place Seven on 2024 NFF Hampshire Honor Society

HOUSTON — A record-tying seven Rice Owls are among 1,989 college football players honored on Wednesday by the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame as members of the 2024 NFF Hampshire Honor Society.
Chike Anigbogu, Jack Bradley, Izeya Floyd, Tim Horn, Luke McCaffrey, Myron Morrison, and Clay Servin were honored this year matching the Owls' 2022 class of honorees as the largest since the NFF created the Hampshire Honor Society in 2007.
Nominated by their respective schools, members of the NFF Hampshire Honor Society must be either:
Anigbogu was an Academic All-District selection in 2023 and was the Owls' special teams captain while amassing a career-high 26 tackles, including a pair of sacks last season.
Bradley was a four-year starter at tight end and had played in 52 consecutive games before being injured before the 11th game in 2023, which was two shy of matching the school record for consecutive games. He caught 56 passes in his career, which ranks eighth among Rice tight ends.
Floyd was a defensive co-captain in 2023 and started all 13 games on the Owls' defensive front while setting career-highs for tackles (25) and snaps (467).
Horn scored a career-high 71 points by converting all 47 PATs and 8-12 field goals in 2023. His 47 conversions were tied for fourth in the AAC and tied him for second on the Owls' single-season list with Chris Boswell.
McCaffrey was a CSC Academic All-District selection and team captain while earning consensus All-AAC Honors during a stellar 2023 campaign. He led the AAC and tied for seventh nationally with a career-high 12 touchdown receptions. His single-season touchdown total ranks fifth all-time at Rice and is tied for the eighth most in conference history while his 18 career touchdown receptions in two seasons as a wide receiver are tied for third on the Rice career chart.
Morrison was co-captain last season and earned Honorable Mention All-AAC honors while finishing second on the team with 80 tackles and playing in a career-best 682 defensive snaps. He started all 13 games in 2023 and has started the last 18 games.
Servin anchored the Owls' offensive line at left tackle for the past five years, logging 3,608 snaps over a school-record 56 games. He was a team captain in 2023.
Rice concludes its 2024 spring practice schedule on Saturday with the annual Blue-Gary Spring Game at 5 p.m. at Rice Stadium.
