The Owls: Rice stands at 1-4 this season after notching their first victory at Louisiana, 4-0, last weekend in Lafayette. The Owls captured the doubles point and received singles victories from senior Federica Trevisan, junior Saara Orav and freshman Divna Ratkovic to clinch the road victory. Trevisan has won four consecutive singles matches, all at the first position of the lineup.
The Opposition: Rice is 7-0 all-time against Louisiana Tech, including five home victories. Across those seven meetings, the Owls have allowed only one point to the Bulldogs and have registered three straight sweeps in the series. Rice won, 4-0, in the last meeting between the teams on April 14, 2018. The Bulldogs are 2-2 this season versus D-I competition, scoring victories against Wyoming and Omaha.
