Owls to Compete at Two Meets this Weekend

HOUSTON – The Rice Owls women's track & field team will have athletes competing at the David Hemery Valentine Invite at Boston University and at the Howie Ryan Invitational at UH starting tomorrow.
In total, the Owls will have 22 athletes competing across 15 events. Rice is one of 17 teams competing at UH this weekend, including AAC foe UTSA.
Last time out, Eliza Kraule broke two school records in the pentathlon and the 60-meter hurdles. Kraule broke her own pentathlon record (3,981, 2022) with 4276 points, just one point shy of the AAC record. She also topped the 60-meter hurdle record with a time of 8.37 seconds, surpassing the previous record of 8.42s set by Funmi Jimoh in 2004.
