Owls Take Two Event Titles in Regular Season Finale

HOUSTON – The Rice women's track and field team had their last two meets of the regular season this weekend at the Howie Ryan Invitational at UH and the David Hemery Valentine Invite at Boston University.
Rice grabbed two event titles at Houston, with Josie Taylor winning the high jump with a clearance of 1.80m, while Morgan Fey won the shot put with a throw of 14.36m.
Elena Siemens had a top finish in pole vault, finishing second with a clearance of 3.85m. Over on the track, Riana Green had a fifth-place finish in the 400m, while Lindsay Simms was seventh in the 60m hurdles.
