
Petro Kuzmenok Named AAC Player of the Month

Team-high four singles victories propels Kuzmenok to the honor
IRVING, Texas - Rice sophomore men's tennis student-athlete Petro Kuzmenok earned the first AAC honor of the season, named the AAC Men's Tennis Player of the Month by the conference on Friday afternoon.
Kuzmenok earned a team-high four singles wins and a doubles sweep at a fall event in September as he competed in the Islander Open and the ITA All-American Championship prequalifying round. He scored singles wins against opponents from Abliene Christian and UTSA in the Islander Open before taking wins against Middle Tennessee and Notre Dame in the ITA event. He additional paired with Gabriel Porras to earn doubles victories against Abilene Christian, UTRGV and UTSA in the Islander Open.
The Owls will return to competition this weekend in the Ros Wesbrooks Invitational hosted by Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.
