Three Owls Tandems Advance in Doubles Bracket in ITA Texas Men's Regional Championship

The duos of Petro Kuzmenok / Santiago Navarro, Emir Sendogan / Joshua Mandelbaum, and Arthus de la Bassetiere / Kabeer Kapasi all advanced in the main doubles bracket, with Kuzmenok/Navarro taking down a tandem from UTSA by a score of 8-4. Sendogan/Mandelbaum defeated their opponents from SMU by a score of 8-3, and de la Bassetiere and Kapasi defeated their opponents from Prairie View A&M by a score of 8-1.
In the doubles consolation round, the duo of Tommy Czaplinski and Gabriel Porras advanced by virtual of a tandem from Texas Tech withdrawing.
In the main singles bracket, Sendogan was the lone Owl to earn a victory, taking down Van Wijk from Baylor in three sets (2-6, 6-2, 6-0). Kapasi fell to Brown from Texas (6-1, 6-2) and Eduardo Morais fell to Alonso Vivanco from TCU (6-1, 7-5). Sendogan played a second time, falling to Braswell from Texas, 6-1, 6-2.
In the main singles consolation bracket, six Owls took victories, starting with Czaplinski over his opponent from UTRGV (6-4, 6-1). De la Bassetiere was next over a player from Lamar (6-3, 6-1), followed by Kuzmenok's victory over his opponent from PVAMU, 6-0, 6-1. Czaplinski earned a second victory over his opponent from UTA, 6-4, 7-5, then Kuzmenok earned a second victory over a player from Texas Tech, 6-1, 7-5. De la Bassetiere earned a second victory over an opponent from ACU via withdrawl.
