
Rice Falls to Princeton to Conclude ITA Kickoff

FORT WORTH, Texas — Rice lost to Princeton, 4-0, to conclude their stay at the ITA Kickoff Weekend on Sunday.
Doubles: The Tigers grabbed the doubles point with wins at the first and second positions. Juniors Arthus de la Bassetiere and Eduardo Morais battled to a 5-4 deficit at the third position at the time the doubles point was clinched.
Singles: In singles play, senior Yasha Zemel and junior Emir Sendogan each forced third sets at the first and fifth positions, respectively. Zemel bounced back after a first set defeat to win a tiebreak in the second set, while Sendogan opened his match with a 6-2 win in the opening set and was leading, 3-2, in the third set at the time of clinch. However, Tiger victories at the second, third and fourth positions ultimately clinched the match for Princeton.
