Owls Continue 2024 Indoor Campaign at UH

HOUSTON – The Rice Owls women's track & field will head back to the University of Houston for a two-day meet at the Robert Platt Invitational starting Friday.
In total, the Owls will have 26 athletes competing in 16 events. Schools aside from Rice and Houston competing are Abilene Christian, Houston Christian, Incarnate Word, Lamar, Louisiana, Louisiana Tech, North Texas, Stephen F. Austin, Sam Houston, Southern Miss, South Plains College, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Texas State, Texas Southern, Little Rock, UTRGV, UT-Arlington, UTSA and Hill College.
Last time out Kennedy Gamble set a school record in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.32 seconds. Josie Taylor (high jump), Eliza Kraule (long jump) and Taigen Hunter-Galvan (mile) also picked up event titles at the Leonard Hilton Memorial Invitational.
