Kuzmenok posts two wins in his collegiate debut
In Brief: Petro Kuzmenok won in both singles and doubles in his collegiate debut to lead Rice on the first day of the Lake Charles Invitational at the Lake Charles Racquet Club on Friday.
Details: Kuzmenok and Eduardo Morais opened play by winning a tie-breaker and then each came back to win their singles matches in straight sets. The three-day completion features Louisiana, South Alabama, Southern Miss and UTSA in a format that sees teams meet in doubles and then a different team in singles. Play will continue through Sunday.
