
The American Announces 2023-24 WBB Conference Opponents

HOUSTON – The American Athletic Conference has announced the women's basketball opponent pairings for the upcoming 2023-24 season, featuring an 18-game conference slate with five opponents being played twice and eight opponents once.
Rice will host East Carolina, Memphis, SMU, South Florida, Tulsa, Temple, Wichita State, North Texas and Charlotte.
The Owls will travel to East Carolina, Memphis, SMU, South Florida, Tulsa, Tulane, UTSA, Florida Atlantic and UAB.
The complete women's basketball schedule with dates and times will be released at a later time. The first conference dates will be Dec. 29-31, 2023 and league play will run through March 6, 2024. The 2024 American Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Championship will be held at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas on March 9-13.
Head coach Lindsay Edmonds announced the team's non-conference schedule featuring three postseason teams from last season (Gonzaga, Stephen F. Austin, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi) and three Power-5 opponents (TCU, Georgia Tech, Houston). Rice will host Angelo State for an exhibition on Nov. 1, before opening the season on Nov. 6 against Houston Christian at Tudor Fieldhouse.
Season tickets and single-game ticket information will be released at a later time.
