Rice Golf Tied for Fourth After One Round of Craft Farms Intercollegiate

Gulf Shores, Ala. — The Rice Golf team is tied for fourth-place after one round of the Craft Farms Intercollegiate. The second round has been suspended due to darkness.
Senior Forrest Park is tied for 12th-place after carding an even par 72, his career-best third round of par or better this year and the fifth of his career.
Freshman Lukas Boandl posted a one-over 73 to sit in a 17th-place tie. Freshman Davis Byrd is tied for 23rd-place after shooting a 74. Junior Blake Benson carded a 75 to sit in a tie for 32nd-place and graduate student Jay Kirchdorfer is in a 54th-place tie after posting a 77.
The Owls shot a six-over par 294 and are tied with Oral Roberts. Texas State leads the team competition at three-under par, five strokes in front of Loyola (Md.). Loyola's Michael Crowley leads the individual tournament at four-under par, one stroke in front of Texas State's Kasper Nyland and Jordan Plunkett of South Alabama.
