Opening Day features commemorative t-shirt and fireworks
The upcoming season of Rice Baseball will once again be filled with promotional activities at Reckling Park for fans of all ages.
Beginning with the first pitch of 2023 against Louisiana on February 17 through the home finale against FIU on May 20, Owl fans can count on some recurring favorites such as Baseball Bingo, Bark in the Park and Kids Run the Bases in addition to events such as Space Day, and Kids Takeover The Ballpark. A full lineup of giveaway items including trading cards, T-shirts, mini replica bats, RTX Flags, and pennants are on the upcoming schedule in addition to a number of other specialty nights and ticket promotions, including 713 Nights at Reckling Park on all Tuesday games.
The promotional calendar kicks off on Opening Day against Louisiana when the first 500 fans receive a commemorative t-shirt and all fans will be treated to postgame fireworks.
Rice's 2023 home lineup includes 2022 College World Series participant Texas A&M, 2002 NCAA qualifiers Louisiana Tech and Dallas Baptist as well as additional midweek games with Baylor, Houston, Houston Christian, Incarnate Word, Lamar, McNeese, Prairie View, Sam Houston State, and UTRGV. The Owls' final season of Conference USA baseball includes weekend home series with UTSA, followed by LA Tech, Charlotte, DBU, and FIU.
