
Men's Tennis Duo Reaches Championship Matches at the Ron Wesbrooks Invitational

Beaumont: Emir Sendogan and Eduardo Morais each advanced to the championship match of singles play in their respective flights at the Ron Wesbrooks Invitational at the Thompson Family Tennis Center on Saturday.
Details: Sendogan posted two wins in Flight A, winning in straight sets in his first match before prevailing in a tiebreaker to win his second match of the day. Morais also won his first match in straight sets. In his second match of the day, Morais won the first set and bounced back from a scoreless second set to also outlast his opponent in a third-set tiebreak.

Doubles
Marty/Zavala (TAMU-CC) def. Morais/Sendogan (Rice) 6-3
Up Next: Play opens at 9 a.m. with the doubles third-place match. Morais and Sendogan will face Lamar's Nickel and Omori-Cowie to conclude Flight A. Singles pool will follow at 10 a.m. with a pair of championship matches for the Owl duo. Sendogan will face Abilene Christian's Daniel Morozov for the Pool A championship, while Morais will face Texas A&M-Corpus Christi's Iannis Fernandez for the Pool B championship.
