Annual Salute to Service Game Set For October 1

On Saturday, October 1, Rice will host UAB at Rice Stadium when the Owls and Blazers kickoff at 6:30PM for its Salute to Service + #All4HTX game day. Fans are encouraged to join the Owls to recognize and honor those who serve, at Rice's annual salute to active military members and veterans along with #All4HTX Day, a recognition of all Houston community heroes who live a life of public service each and every day to keep our communities safe.
Fan can secure this year's exclusive limited edition Salute to Service shirt by visiting the campaign and make tickets available for others in the Houston community to attend the game. Fans can also participate in our Seats for Soldiers program that provides donated tickets to active military members and veterans to attend the game.
In addition to providing opportunity for others to attend the game, there will be a full slate of additional game day activations to experience that include a pregame flyover, Tailgate Owley static display setups to feature land, water, and air military vehicle equipment, ability to visit with local recruiting offices, one of the largest swearing in ceremonies in the local community, and game day recognitions of local community veterans, active military, and community heroes.
