Soccer Hosts FIU in C-USA Home Opener

HOUSTON — After opening Conference USA play with a victory at UTSA, the Rice Soccer team begins its conference home schedule this Sunday, Sept. 18, when it hosts FIU. Kickoff is scheduled for 11 a.m. CT and the match will be streamed by CUSAtv.

• Midfielder Nikole Solis leads FIU and is second in C-USA with five goals while also leading the squad with 10 points.
• Midfielders Dominique Marcelli and Catherin Rapp both are second on the team with four points. Marcelli has a goal and a team-high two assists while Rapp has a pair of goals.
• Goalkeeper Ithaisa Vinoly has a 1.52 goals against average and a 69.0% save percentage while making 20 saves.
