
Rice and Boise State Push Back Future Football Series

Opening game to be played at Rice Stadium in 2032
HOUSTON, Texas – Rice and Boise State jointly announced on Wednesday the future home and home football series between the schools will be moved back to accommodate other changes in upcoming football schedules.
The series between the Owls and Broncos, who last met in 2002 as members of the WAC is now set to open at Rice Stadium in 2032 with a return game in Boise in 2035.
The programs split their only two meetings as conference rivals in the WAC in 2001 and '02. The Owls claimed a 45-14 home win on Oct. 4, 2001 in the first-ever meeting before dropping a 49-7 decision the following season (Nov. 9) at Boise.
