
Rice Baseball to Host Inaugural 1K Beer Run

Rice Baseball announced today plans to host the first ever 1K Beer Run presented by Karbach Brewing at Reckling Park on Saturday, May 14 prior to the game between the Owls and Middle Tennessee at 2:00 p.m. The run and walk will take place along the warning track beginning promptly at 1:15 p.m. and will include two complimentary beers upon the race finish.
Each participant will make two laps around the warning track circling the field and also receive a free koozie (as supplies are available) at the beginning of the race. The event is intended to be a fun way to spend the afternoon, enjoying a cold beer, while also getting some fun fitness in prior to one of the final home games inside of Reckling Park for the 2022 campaign.

The ticket package includes a general admission ticket for the game, two 12 oz. beer tickets to be redeemed after the race on the outfield hill and access to the field for the 1K Beer Run pregame.
Tickets are $15 and must be ordered by 5:00 p.m. Friday, May 13. All participants must be at least 21 years of age by the event date Saturday, May 14 and have a valid, government issued photo I.D. to present at the game. Registration can be completed by visiting RiceOwls.com/Beer1K.
