Hineline Cards 69 on Final Day of Cabo Collegiate

Cabo, Mexico — Senior Harrison Hineline fired a 69 to lead the Rice golf team on the final day of the Cabo Collegiate.
Hineline finished seven-over par in a tie for 62nd-place. The 69 is Hineline's third round of par or better this year and the 15th of his career. It is also his second round in the 60's this year and the sixth of his career.
Freshman Raghav Chugh fired his second straight even-par 71 to finish in 58th-place at four-over. It was his team-leading seventh round of par or better this year.
Senior Jake Benson tied for 62nd-place at seven-over par after carding a 75. Sophomore Rodrigo Martin posted a 76 to finish 18-over par in 77th-place and junior Forrest Park finished one shot back in 78th-place after carding an 81.
The Rice golf team finished in 15th-place at 26-over par after posting a 291.
No. 21 Vanderbilt won the team competition, finishing 32-under par. VU's Cole Sherwood earned medalist honors at 17-under par, four strokes in front of Stanford's Michael Thorbjornsen.

The Owls will return to the links Mar. 14-15 when they travel to Lafayette, La., for the Louisiana Classics.
