Owls face Tulane and New Orleans this weekend
In Brief: Rice takes to the road for the first time in the 2022 dual season with a pair of duals in New Orleans. The Owls will face Tulane at 1 p.m. on Saturday and then New Orleans at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
The Owls: Rice is 5-3 after shaking off a loss in doubles to down Abilene Christian 6-1 at GRBTC on Sunday. Trinity Grear improved to 7-1 in the dual season while delivering the clinching point in the match.
Tulane: The Green Wave are 2-3 on the season, with two of the three losses coming against teams ranked in the ITA coaches poll. They opened with wins over California and Alcorn State, but have dropped matches against #14 Stanford, Louisville, and #24 Auburn. The schools have split 16 duals since 1992, but Tulane will carry a four-match winning streak into Saturday's action. The Owls last win in the series came in 2016 at GRBTC. They have lost the last four matches in New Orleans, with their last win on Tulane's home court coming in 2011.
