
FanFest '23 Set for January 29

Annual kickoff to the baseball season
Rice Baseball's 2023 FanFest is just around the corner.
The annual kickoff to another season of Rice Baseball is set for Sunday, January 29. This year's event will allow Owls' fans the opportunity to meet the 2023 team during an autograph session in addition to photo opportunities and fans a chance to experience Reckling Park's new state-of-the-art Act Global TM NR34 synthetic turf playing surface.
Final details for FanFest will be released in early January. While there is no admission charge for FanFest, fans will need to RSVP online in advance.
The 2023 Owls will open their 30-game home schedule on February 17 with the first of three games against NCAA Regional participant Louisiana Ragin Cajuns. The non-conference slate includes a weekend series with crosstown foe Houston Christian in addition to weeknight games with regional rivals Sam Houston, UTRGV, Texas A&M, Lamar, McNeese, Houston, Incarnate Word, and Prairie View A&M.
Rice begins its final season of Conference USA play on March 24 when the UTSA Roadrunners come to Reckling Park. The Owls will also host weekend series with Louisiana Tech, Charlotte and Dallas Baptist, before closing out the home regular season schedule with three games vs. FIU.
The final year of C-USA competition will come to a close the following week and Rice hosts the Conference USA Baseball Championship from May 24-28.
