In Brief: Haoyuan Huang took the early lead, but fell in three sets in his opening match of the qualifying singles round of the 2022 ITA All-American Championships at the Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Monday.
The Details: Huang took the opening set from Marcus McDaniel of Georgia Tech only to see McDaniel rally to win the next two sets and advance. Huang will play a consolation match on Tuesday morning to wrap up play for the Owls in the annual event.
Up Next: The Owls will be back in competition in two weeks when they travel to Austin to compete in the ITA Division I Texas Regional. Play opens on Thursday, October 13.
