HOUSTON — This Sunday's (Oct. 16) volleyball match been No. 22 Rice and Charlotte at 1 p.m. has been designated the ALZTogether match. Rice Volleyball will be raising funds and awareness for the care, support, and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association through The Longest Day.
The Longest Day is an Alzheimer's Association fundraising event where participants use their creativity and passion to come together to fight the darkness of Alzheimer's through an activity of their choice. The Rice Owls will be playing volleyball to join the fight against Alzheimer's disease, but anyone can join and fundraise through The Longest Day with any activity.
ALZTogether's mission is to escalate athletic communities' knowledge on the disease and unite athletes in the fight against Alzheimer's.
