Owls to Compete at Houston G5 & Super 22 Invitational

Meet runs Friday-Saturday at Yeoman Fieldhouse
HOUSTON - The Rice Owls women's track & field team will make another visit to Yeoman Fieldhouse for a second straight weekend this Friday-Saturday when they partake in the Houston G5 & Super 22 Invitational.
In total, the Owls will have 30 athletes competing in eight events on Friday and seven events on Saturday.
Last week, All-American throwers Erna Gunnarsdottir and Tara Simpson-Sullivan opened up their indoor season by grabbing the ninth (16.90m/55-5.5) and 13th (21.32m/69-11.5) ranked spots in the nation in both the shot put and weight throw, respectively. Both athletes are scheduled to compete this weekend.
Action gets underway at 2 p.m. on Friday and 12 p.m. on Saturday.
