Edwards & Becker Earn All-Conference USA Honors

Edwards was named to the C-USA second team while Becker garnered all-freshman honors. The versatile Edwards was one of only two Owls to play in all 53 games, splitting time between second base and the outfield. He batted .302 in 32 C-USA games and led the squad in hits (38) and runs scored (26) when facing conference competition. For the full season the Houston native posted 12 games with two or more hits and he was able to reach base at a .438 pace when leading off an inning.
Becker registered a sensational debut season at the Division I level, batting .296 with a team-leading .592 slugging percentage in C-USA action. The area standout from Jersey Village worked his way into a starting spot as the designated hitter and registered 19 RBI while appearing in 22 league games.
