
Mulkey Selected to C-USA All-Academic Team

First conference academic award
DALLAS – Rice senior center Nancy Mulkey has been named to the 2020-21 Conference USA All-Academic Team, the league office announced on Friday.
Mulkey, who graduated with a 3.47 GPA with a degree in Psychology, currently holds a 3.85 GPA in the Post-Baccalaureate Program. A Rice University Honor Athlete and a Rice University Scholar Athlete, Mulkey has been named to the C-USA Academic Honor Roll three times.
Mulkey has been named a semifinalist on three different national watch lists, which includes the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year, the Lisa Leslie Award, and the Senior CLASS Award. This season Mulkey ranks eighth in the NCAA in field goal percentage (59.7) and is ninth in blocked shots per game (2.94). In addition, Mulkey is averaging a career-best 16.1 points and 8.2 rebounds per contest.
She ranks second in Rice history with 221 career blocks and is third among all active NCAA Division I players in career blocked shots (283) and is fifth in career blocked shot average (2.89).
