Blue-Gray Game Attendance Plans Announced

The Rice Owls will celebrate the conclusion of a successful set of spring practices with the return of the Blue-Gray Game at Rice Stadium on April 2. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. for the traditional end of spring practice which was canceled last year due to the COVID-19 shutdown.
The Rice Crisis Management Team has approved releasing a limited number of complimentary tickets for the game with seating arranged in a physically distanced manner. Fans will be required to wear masks at all times. Hand sanitizer will be available at various locations throughout the stadium and common areas will be sanitized throughout the game. No concessions will be served.
Fans can redeem their complimentary tickets online and are encouraged to redeem in advance of the game to ensure access to the limited number of tickets. Any ticketing questions should be directed to the ticket office by calling 713-348-6957 or emailing tickets@rice.edu.
Complimentary parking will be available in the Greenbriar lot. Fans should enter through Gate 1 of the stadium. No concessions will be available during the game and tailgating will not be permitted in any campus parking lot.
The Owls open their six-game 2021 home schedule on September 11 when the Houston Cougars come to Rice Stadium to determine the winner of the Bayou Bucket. The home slate also features games with Texas Southern (September 25), Southern Miss (October 2), North Texas (October 30), WKU (November 13) and Louisiana Tech (November 27).
Past season ticket members can renew their seats by clicking here. Fans who are interested in joining as a Rice Football Season Ticket Member can indicate their interest in advance of the opening of the new sales campaign. From now until the July 1 season ticket deadline, fans should stay tuned to weekly promotional offers that will be released to enter-to-win during the renewal and purchase timeline. Promotional offers could include but are not limited to pre-game VIP sideline passes, team film sessions, and game day experiences.
