Rice hosts UAB at noon on Saturday
A limited number of Rice Football fans will be able to attend in person and honor the members of the 2020 senior class who upset No. 15 Marshall when the Owls host UAB in the home season finale at noon on Saturday, Dec. 12.
The Rice Crisis Management Team has approved releasing a limited number of digital game tickets for the families of student-athletes, Rice Football season ticket members and Rice students and faculty.
"I really appreciate the Rice Crisis Management Team's decision to allow some of our fans to celebrate these seniors on Saturday," Rice Director of Athletics Joe Karlgaard said. "The win last Saturday was a historic, signature moment for them and I can't think of a better way to celebrate than with our fans in the stands."
Seating will be arranged in a physically distanced manner with green tape marking available seats in each section and fans will be required to wear masks at all times. Hand sanitizer will be available at various locations throughout the stadium and common areas will be sanitized throughout the game. Anyone showing COVID-19 symptoms will be denied admission to the stadium.
Parking will be free for all attendees with lots opening at 10:00AM in advance of stadium gates opening at 10:30AM. Pre-game and post-game tailgating will not be permitted. A limited concession menu will be available in stadium.
Specific details regarding the confirmation of tickets and seating locations will be emailed directly to the student-athlete families and season ticket members. Students, faculty and staff will receive further information by email on how to access a limited number of tickets, which will allocated on a first-come first-served basis. Any ticketing questions should be directed to the ticket office by calling 713-348-6957 or emailing tickets@rice.edu.
