A rough Week 15 on the field as a number of Owls were inactive due to injury or illness was capped with the news that Jack Fox being named the punter for the NFC Pro Bowl team.

Bones Weatherly (12/26).Chris Boswell—Boswell booted a field goal and two extra points, but the Steelers dropped their third straight game after opening the season 11-0, 27-17 at Cincinnati. They look to regain their form on Sunday when they host the 10-4 Indianapolis Colts at noon. (CBS)
Bryce Callahan- Callahan was placed on IR on December 2. Christian Covington—Covington was credited a tackle and a quarterback hit in the Bengals 27-17 win over Pittsburgh. He has made a career-best 12 starts this season, including the last 11 in a row. He returns to familiar this weekend as the Bengals travel to Houston to face the Texans at noon on Sunday. Covington was a sixth round pick by Houston in 2015 and played for the Texans from 2015-18. (FOX)
Jack Fox—Fox became the third Lions punter to earn a Pro Bowl berth and his the third Owl to earn a Pro Bowl slot as a rookie, joining Billy Howton and Dicky Maegle. Detroit will be back in action on Saturday when they host Tampa Bay at noon. (NFL Network)
Phillip Gaines— Gaines was inactive for the second straight week for the Texans. Houston hosts Cincinnati at noon on Sunday. (FOX)
Vance McDonald— McDonald saw his most extensive action of the season after Eric Ebron was injured early in the Steelers loss at Cincinnati. McDonald played 60 snaps in the game but was not targeted. He remains two yards shy of reaching 2,000 receiving yards in his career (1,998). The Steelers Indianapolis on Sunday at noon. (CBS)
Andrew Sendejo— Sendejo missed the Browns 20-6 win over the Giants because of a concussion and remains tied King Hill for ninth on the Rice career NFL games list with 123. He was cleared to return to practice on Wednesday and should be active when Cleveland returns to New York to take on the Jets on Sunday at noon. (CBS)
Austin Walter— Walter was placed on the reserve-COVID list prior to the 49er's game with Dallas. They will be the road team when they take on Arizona in Glendale, Arizona on Saturday. The 49er's have temporarily shifted their operations to Glendale and have played their remaining home games at State Farm Stadium during the pandemic. The game kicks off at noon. (AMAZON)
Luke Willson— Willson, who has been battling a hip injury since joining Baltimore on December 3, was waived by the Ravens on December 21.
Rice has had 10 players see action in 2020, the most Owls to play in an NFL season in school history. Nine Owls saw action in 2015 to set a school record, but only eight were active for the opening weekend. Rice also had nine former players active in professional football between the NFL and AFL in 1961 and nine between the NFL and the All American Football Conference in 1948.
Answer—The Pro Bowl was first played in 1951 at the Los Angeles Coliseum and saw the American squad, that included Weldon Humble of Rice, rally from a 27-14 deficit to the National squad 28-27.
