Hanover, NH: The Rice men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to Dartmouth in the opener of a two-match road trip to face a pair of Ivy League schools. Rice was without the services of 2019 Conference USA Player of the Year Sumit Sarkar, who did not make the road trip because of an illness.

Singles: Sophomore Campbell Salmon moved into the first singles position for the first time in his career and took Dartmouth's 51st ranked Charlie Broom to a tiebreaker in the second set. The Big Green took command early by winning all six first singles sets and lost only four games in second sets at the second, third and fourth lines to secure the clinching points and win their third straight match over the Owls.
