
Golf Continues Spring Season at 34th Annual Louisiana Classics

HOUSTON — Rice continues its spring season next Monday-Tuesday, February 25-26, when it travels to Lafayette, La, for the Louisiana Classics. The tournament will be played at the par-72, 6,866-yard Oakbourne Country Club.

TEAM FIELD
No. 29 Illinois leads the field at the Louisiana Classics. Also joining Rice in the field are host Louisiana-Lafayette, Kent State, Louisiana Tech, McNeese State, UMKC, North Texas, Oral Roberts, Sam Houston State, Southern Miss, Texas State, Toledo, UTSA and Wichita State.

PAIRINGS
For Monday's first and second rounds, the Owls will tee off from holes No. 9-12 beginning at 8 a.m. CT. Rice will compete in groups with student-athletes from McNeese State, Southern Miss and Texas State. Tuesday's tee times and pairings will depend on results from the previous round.

Following the Louisiana Classsics, the Owls will travel to Cabo, Mexico, for the Querencia Cabo Intercollegiate on Mar. 3-5.
