Rice Begins First C-USA Road Trip at UTSA

HOUSTON — Rice goes on the road for the first time in conference play when it begins a three-game road trip this Thursday, Jan. 10, at UTSA. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT and the game will be livestreamed by ESPN+.
Scouting Rice
• Rice is 7-9 overall and 2-1 in Conference USA. The Owls have won two straight after defeating Louisiana Tech, 78-66, on Saturday.
• Rice has four players scoring double-figures, led by freshman guard Chris Mullins with 12.9 points. He also leads the team in steals with 1.4 per game.
• Junior guard Ako Adams is tied for second on the team with 12.7 points per game. He is connecting on 39.6% from three while leading the team with 3.1 assists per game. He also leads Conference USA and is sixth in the nation (as of Jan. 8) in free throw percentage, connecting on 93.5% from the line.
