Racasan Named to C-USA All-Academic Team

IRVING, Texas - Rice senior Elsa Racasan was named to the 2017 InTouch Credit Union Conference USA Women's Cross Country All-Academic Team, the league office announced on Wednesday (11/9/17).
A native of Lugrin, France, Racasan boasts a 4.11 GPA while majoring in Kinesiology. Racasan helped guide the Owls to a third place finish at the C-USA Championships by placing ninth individual to earn Second Team All-Conference honors.
Racasan was the 2017 Rice Scholar Athlete of the Year for Women's Cross Country and earns her third C-USA All-Academic Team honor.
The women's honorary list was selected by the league's sports information directors. The all-academic team consists of six student-athletes that have earned a 3.2 cumulative grade point average or better and are a key member on their team.
Racasan and the Owls will be competing at the NCAA South Central Regional this Friday at 9:15 a.m. in College Station, Texas.
