Andujar-Perez Selected C-USA Athlete of the Week

IRVING, Texas - Rice redshirt junior Fabiola Andujar-Perez became the second different Owl to earn Conference USA Female Athlete of the Week honors this season, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.
Andujar-Perez, a native of Dallas, led Rice to the team's third victory of the season by placing second individually at the HBU Invitational last Friday in Sugar Land, Texas. Andujar-Perez finished the 5k race with a time of 18:18, a new personal best.
Andujar-Perez joins teammate Abigail Cartwright (twice) as Owls to earn the C-USA Female Athlete of the Week award this season.
The women's cross country team will be split up this weekend at both the Pre-National Invitational (Saturday) and the Southwestern Invitational (Friday, 6:15 p.m.).
