Rice-UTEP/UTSA Match Notes
HOUSTON, Texas - The Owls continue their three-game road trip this weekend with a pair of in-state matches, first at UTEP on Friday, Oct. 3 followed by a showdown at UTSA on Sunday, Oct. 19. Rice has won four consecutive matches and sits just 1.5 games back of first place in C-USA.
Weekend Storylines
- Rice is 5-1 against Texas schools this season.
- Rice has won four consecutive matches and 12 straight sets during that span.
- Rice is 4-3 on the road this season, which includes a 3-2 win at Marquette, who is receiving 20 votes in the AVCA Coaches Poll.

- Daniela Arenas ranks 25th in the nation in active career total digs with 1,547. Arenas moved past Yvette Kirk (1,405 digs) earlier this season for second place all-time in Rice history.
