Andrews and Yablon Grab Singles Crowns

Rice freshmen Max Andrews and Zachary Yablon captured singles flight titles to highlight action at the 2013 Wyndham Houston Medical Center Rice Fall Invite, which wrapped up play at Jake Hess Tennis Stadium on Sunday.
Andrews captured the B Flight title,downing Max Hinnisdaels of Texas Tech in straight sets. Andrews took a first set tie break, then closed out the match with a 6-1 win in the second set. Yablon posted a perfect mark in the D Flight, closing out the weekend with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Tulane's Iain Sneddon.
Yablon and fellow freshman David Warren reached the finals in B Flight doubles, falling to Carlos Di Laura and Francisco Zambon of Texas Tech.
Tech's Felipe Soares captured the A flight singles, downing Dominik Koepfer of Tulane. Chi-Shan Jao of Tulane won the C Flight, defeating teammate Sebastian Rey.
