TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Rice University women's cross country team finished 20th at the Indiana State Pre-National Invitational Saturday morning.
Freshman Katie Jensen led the way for the Owls, finishing the 6k race in 21:55.26 to earn 35th place and give the Owls 34 points, followed by freshman Cali Roper (50th-22:02.29, 49 points). They were followed by Allie Schaich (22:53), Hannah Kay (23:11), Kathleen Abadie (23:21), Christina Wassef (23:35) and Audrey Wassef (24:49).
The race included 35 teams in Rice's division and 227 total runners. Next up for the Owls will be the C-USA Championships on Nov. 2 in Denton, Texas.
