
VB: Humphrey Named Defensive Player Of The Week

Jillian Humphrey was named C-USA Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. She posted 13 blocks over six sets during the weekend. The honor is the first of Humphrey's career.
Jillian Humphrey posted 3.17 kills per set, and 13 blocks, helping the Owls to a 2-0 week and reclaim a share of first place in C-USA. Humphrey's week was highlighted by an 11 kill and six block performance on Oct. 7, her birthday, as the Owls downed Tulane. Humphrey hit .500 in the match, and accumulated 15.5 points. She has posted six consecutive 10+ point matches and five straight 5+ block matches.
The Owls return to action on Friday, October 12, as they travel to face Marshall at 4:30 p.m., and return home on Sunday, October 14 to host East Carolina at 1 p.m.
