Rice Tennis Set for Fall Invite

Rice University will see action against Arkansas, LSU and Tulane this weekend as the Owls play host to the 2011 Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites Medical Center Rice Fall Invite Friday through Sunday at the Jake Hess Tennis Stadium.
Four flights of singles play along with two doubles flights are set for the weekend. Doubles play will begin at 10 a.m. each day with singles set for 11 a.m. at the on-campus venue.
In Flight A, Rice's Peter Frank will play Tulane's Shaye Wali while Sam Garforth-Bles takes on Mark Bowtell from LSU. Competing in Flight B, Michael Nusslein opens against Arkansas' Mike Ward while Phillip Seifert plays LSU's Tom Knights.
In Flight C, Isamu Tachibana plays Arkansas' Victory Hoang while Justin To takes on James Turbervill from LSU. Jonathan Chang opens play in Flight C against Tulane's Cedric Rutsaert while Andy Wang plays LSU's David Roberts.
Friday's winners will advance to semifinals slated for Saturday while losers will fall into consolation brackets for each flight. Champions for each flight will be determined on Sunday.
