122nd Pacific Coast Doubles Championships
Three Doubles Teams Advance to Round of 16

Three of Rice's entries in the 122nd West Coast Doubles Championship have advanced to the round of 16 in the championship bracket after a busy first day of competition at the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club in La Jolla, California.
Harry Fowler and Oscar Podlewski will take on the tournament's top seeded duo, Bradley Klahn and Ryan Thatcher of Stanford, at 1 pm (central) on Saturday. The Cardinal pairing are ranked 7th in the latest ITA College rankings.
At the same time, Peter Frank and Michael Nuesslein will face Clarke Spinosa and Thibaut Visy of San Diego. Earlier this week, Spinosa and Visy fell to Isamu Tachibana and Christian Saravia when the Owls and Toreros met in a dual match prior to the start of the West Coast doubles event.
Saravia and Tachibana also advanced and will face Derek Schwandt and Jay Udwadia at noon on Saturday.
