
All-Owl Final to Highlight Rice Fall Invite

HOUSTON - Peter Frank will take on teammate Sam Garforth-Bles while Phillip Seifert and Jonathan Chang also reached the finals in their flights as the Owls concluded semifinal round at the 2011 Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites Medical Center Rice Fall Invite Saturday.
The four-team tournament which features Arkansas, LSU and Tulane concludes Sunday at the Jake Hess Tennis Stadium. Doubles play will begin at 10 a.m. with singles play getting underway at 11.
Frank and Garforth-Bles both won their Flight A singles matches to advance to the championship.
Frank defeated LSU's Stefan Szacinski 6-3, 6-7, 6-3 while Garforth-Bles was a 6-4, 6-2 winner over Arkansas' Greg Lehmann.
Seifert defeated Arkansas' Manfred Jeske 6-4, 6-3. He will face LSU's Chris Simpson Sunday in the finals of Flight B Singles. Chang advanced to the Flight D singles championship with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over LSU's Matt Zachary. Chang will take on Arkansas' Hall Fess on Sunday.
Rice also scored a pair of victories in the semifinals of Flight B Doubles.
Leif Berger and Seifert teamed to beat Arkansas' Victor Hoang and Jovan Parlic 8-4. Michael Nusslein and Chang teamed for an 8-6 win over Tulane's Takuma Ohashi and Coby Kramer-Golinkoff 8-6.
Nusslein suffered an ankle injury in the Flight B Singles, losing to LSU's Chris Simpson 6-4, 3-0 (injury default).
