
Ricky Pierce to Make Appearance on Braun Show

Ricky Pierce, an All-American during his career at Rice, will make an appearance on this week's Ben Braun Radio Show Thursday night at the Edloe Street Café.
The show tips off Thursday at 7 p.m., and this week will be taped before a live television audience due to programming conflicts. The show will be broadcast Saturday on Rice Basketball's flagship station ESPN 97.5 starting at 4:45 p.m. and will lead up to the pregame of the Owls' game at UCF which tips at 6 p.m. Central.
The Edloe Street Café is located at 6119 Edloe Street in the heart of West University.
Pierce finished his career at Rice with 1,847 career points in three seasons. Pierce's 805 points during the 1981-82 season remains a Rice basketball record. He was named the Southwest Conference Player of the Year and received All-America honors in 1982.
Pierce went on to have an lengthy career in the NBA and was twice received the NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award while playing with the Milwaukee Bucks (1987-88 and 1989-90 seasons). He retired from the NBA following the 1997-98 season.
