Seifert to Play in Consolation Final

Rice University freshman Philipp Seifert posted a 6-4, 2-6, 6-1 win over Florida's Billy Federhofer to advance to the A Draw consolation finals at the UT Men's Invitational. Seifert will take on Oklahoma's Tsvetan Mihov Sunday at 9 a.m.
Seifert was slated to play the tournament's No. 1 seed, Miami's Christian Blocker Saturday morning in the consolation quarterfinals. He advanced to the semifinals after Blocker withdrew due to an injury.
Federhofer posted a 7-6, 6-2 win over Rice's Sam Garforth-Bles in the consolation quarterfinals to advance to the semifinals.
In the B Draw, Rice's Andy Wang defeated UTSA's Jannick Junger 7-6, 7-6 before losing to Texas A&M's Austin Klores 6-1, 6-2 in the consolation draw's semifinals.
Jonathan Chang and Garforth-Bles suffered an 8-3 loss to the tournament's top-seeded team of Kellen Damico and David Holiner late Friday.
