HOUSTON -- The Rice baseball program will hold a fall exhibition at Reckling Park against longtime rival Texas State on Sunday (Oct. 25) at 1 pm. Admission to the 14-inning exhibition is free, and there will be free on-campus parking for the event in West Lot 4 from 11:30 am to 5:30 pm.
The exhibition is a great chance to get a sneak peek of the 2010 Rice baseball team. For fans who are unable to attend the event, Rice's MK Bower will host a live on-line chat on the R-Blog at RiceOwls.com for the first few innings.
Rice baseball under head coach Wayne Graham began its fall training period on Oct. 5. Last spring the Owls went 43-18 and won the Conference USA Tournament Championship. Rice hosted and won an NCAA home Regional to advance to the Super Regional round for a fifth-straight year. The Owls open the 2010 season with a three-game series on the road at national power Stanford on Feb. 19-21.
