The Rice Invitational men's and women's cross country meet scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 20 has been canceled due to Hurricane Ike. The 34th annual event will not be rescheduled.
Rice's men's cross country team, ranked seventh in the South Central Region, and the Owls' women's cross country team, ranked second in the South Central Region, will runs this Friday at the Texas A&M Invitational in College Station, Texas, at the Penberthy Intramural field
Jim Bevan's women's team won last year's Texas A&M Invitational as the Owls placed 1-3-6-8, with Marissa Daniels winning the event.
