
NCAA Singles and Doubles Tennis Draws Announced

TULSA, Okla. - Bruno Rosa, Christoph Müller and Ralph Knupfer are set to compete in the NCAA Singles and Doubles Tennis Championships that begin Wednesday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on the University of Tulsa campus.
The Owls have had at least one player in the main singles draw in each of the last five seasons.
Rosa, the C-USA and ITA South Central Rookie of the Year, earned a Top 16 national seed and faces off Ed Corrie of Texas in the Round of 64 Wednesday at 4pm. The Brazilian turned in an impressive 24-6 record over the spring and opened his career stringing together 14-consecutive wins that included the 2008 National Collegiate Tennis Classic championship.
Müller, an All-Conference USA First-Team performer for the second consecutive season, opens the championships against the strong serving Cosmin Cotet of TCU Wednesday at 11am. The German went 17-6 during the dual match season at the No. 2 singles spot, including a comeback 3-6, 6-3, 6-0 against TCU's Emanu Brighui in the NCAA Tournament opening round.
Rice's No. 1 doubles team of Müller and Knupfer squares off with Florida State's Jean-Yves Aubone and Clint Bowles Thursday in the Round of 32. The Owl duo notched an 8-6 record during the spring season and has gone 1-1 over its last nine matches with seven unfinished decisions. Müller and Knupfer notched hard-fought 8-5 victory against the Seminole pair during the regular season.
